Derwent Reservoir is situated in the North Pennines in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, close to the picturesque village of Blanchland. The County boundary which separates Northumberland from Durham runs through the middle of the lake. Derwent Reservoir is a quiet, reflective place with spectacular views across the North Pennines.
