The Northumbria Craft Centre occupies a former Chapel of ease dating from the first half of the 18th century. It adjoins the 13th century Chantry which now houses the tourist office and Bagpipe Museum. The work of over 60 Northumbrian craft workers - quality selected - is on display and for sale; and there are regular demonstrations. Original paintings and prints from Northumbrian artists can be bought at very affordable prices.
